"Monopoly" Euro's

A bar patron in France paid with Monopoly money, taking advan­tage of confusion in Europe's cur­rency switch to get a free drink, the bar's owner said Thursday. The board game now comes in a euro edition. Jean-Paul Boutan, owner of the bar in Auch, said the bartender was not used to the new notes and mistook the 5-euro Monopoly note for real currency. The euros became legal currency in 12 European Union last Thursday.
